Ed starts by seeking to understand his clients before he seeks to be understood. He asks questions to understand his client’s projects, anticipate production problems, and perhaps provide ideas his clients haven’t thought of. There is often a production meeting to work out logistics and delivery deadlines.

Many clients need an experienced photographer in Los Angeles who solves problems before they happen, can be flexible, and has proficiency across multiple genres, including architectural photography, corporate photography, and industrial photography. Ed’s production skills give him an edge in solving problems and executing the client’s vision.

As an example, aerospace giant Relativity Space asked him to photograph a 25-foot tall robotic 3-D printer they use to create rocket ship housings, along with other pieces of technology. They needed the images to be stylistically cohesive and shot within two days.

Ed assembled an expert team to help plan and execute the project so he could cover a lot of ground during the two production days and then assembled much of the aerospace photography in post-post production. The project worked like clockwork, and the client was thrilled.

In another example, Prologis asked Ed to create some images of their Los Angeles International Airport facilities. Ed needed to photograph a cargo plane with the busy warehousing facilities in the background, but the logistics issues on the ground did not allow for this, and the aircraft was departing. So he shot the plane one day, returned the next day to shoot the buildings, and assembled the images in post-production
